Where to get involved in womens fitness competitions?

I am a 25 year old female and live in Indiana. Does anyone know of any type of fitness competitions other then marathons and extreme body building that i could get involved in? I work out about 6 times a week and just wanted to try something new and challenging. Thanks for your help!

Sounds like you need triathlons. They involve swimming, cycling and running, one after the other. Its fairly new and very challenging, escpecially if you do an Ironman (3.8km swim, 180km cycle, 42.2km run/marathon). Here are the basic 5 race distances:

*Super sprint-400m swim, 12k cycle, 3k run
*Sprint-750m swim, 20k cycle, 5k run
*Olympic-1500m swim, 40k cycle, 10k run
*Half Ironman-1.9k swim, 91km cycle, 21km run (half marathon) (also known as Ironman 70.3 (miles) and Middle distance)
*Ironman-3.8km swim, 180 km cycle, 42.2km run

And if you want a real challenge, why not try double or triple Ironmans? Three times the distance, 4 times longer, but more bundles of fun (and pain-unfortunately).
