Work for major league baseball?
I would love to work with major league baseball.
I have some college experience and some classes complete:
English
Math
Business Enterprise
Business Management
Heath/Fitness
Comparative Religions
…and a few more. I know a College degree would probably be the best way to get in…but I don’t have a degree.
Is working for MLB a type of business which the term comes in ” Its not what you know its who you know”? If so, I don’t know anyone other than the clubhouse manager . I use to be a Bat boy for the Detroit Tigers when I was younger but after you reach a certain age you’re out. I’ve asked him numerous times what he would recommend me doing and he really cant help me to much since he’s always working his tail off in the clubhouse What would you recommend me doing?

Note: I’ve checked on MLB.com for job opportunities and its so hard to even get back in.
My suggestion would be to check out an internship with a minor league affiliate of a MLB team. The pay may be little, or nothing at all, but the experience, chance for networking and ability to learn who’s who would be invaluable.
This would give you exposure to the “who you know” that you mention.
