Info about police fitness test (uk)?

I would like a career in the police and would like to know what I have to do for the fitness test and how I can train for this.

Most home office forces entrance fitness tests are ‘bleep tests’ or ’shuttle runs’ as they are sometimes called. The level required changes but is quite low overall, check www.policecouldyou.co.uk for up to date info.

Some forces however have different tests such as West Midlands Police who use what i would call a ‘mini’ indoor assault course. Forces who dont use the bleep test are few and far between and your best bet is to speak with your chosen forces recruitment team.
