Anyone know where on the web I can get workout videos?
Im a 30/f that needs to lose a few. I have searched but I can’t find a good workout routine. I’m not fat or anything, I just need to lose a few before the summer gets here. I get bored easy so it needs to be a somewhat busy workout, not the same old boring situps and stuff. Dance/Fitness would be great! Online free videos is what Im looking for.

How soon should I plan on qualifying for the Boston Marathon?
3 years ago while I was still smoking, I barely ran an 11:00 minute mile. Today I averaged an 8:29 mile at a 10k race, my best. I quit smoking for good after the LA cancer challenge race last year. But now I want to qualify for the Boston Marathon, which means I have to average faster than a 7 minute mile for 26.2 miles. My current workout mile is 7:30 minutes. So question is, how long do you think I would have to train to qualify for the Boston? I’m thinking Boston 2009, which will give me 2 local and one state marathons to use as a qualifier. I’m using Yasso Tempo runs and Runnersworld’s Training calculators for my current workouts, but that was when I planned on running a 4 hour marathon, so I’m familiar with the data. BTW, I’m 6′3″, 205 lbs (lost 12lbs, 8 to go). This question goes from my wife to, who relatively in the exact same situation I’m in, from quitting smoking, same workout program, major fitness improvement, weight loss, and same goal….. relatively.
First of all….WOW…what a life changing decision you made. Congratulations. You can always run Boston as a bandit, meaning not a qualifier…but I understand the need to set this goal and accomplish it. Two years is a great time frame. Plenty of time to build the mileage base you will need for the endurance and to do the speed needed to increase your pace. Marathons are an endurance event. 50 miles a week, including one really long run each week in the 12 to 15 mile range should be sufficient. Once a week, on a shorter run throw in some intervals or speed work…10 to 12 burst of speed, for 20 to 30 seconds, during a mid range run. You can increase the number of sprints and the length as you feel more comfortable. Remember these simple rules, your body learns endurance from running a long time, your body learns speed from running fast. Mix it up and the best of luck. No matter what happens, you are already a winner.

I’m not sure what the entire event encompasses, but I heard it at least includes strength training gym equipment.
I couldn’t find anything beginning with the letter “U” in Acronym Finder or on the web.
Could you be thinking of NIRSA - National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association? They do have a big expo (see links below)

What do you think of women who post risque photos of themselves on fitness social networking sites and…?
then write stuff in their about me section like “Thank you for all the nice comments but please be respectful as I do have a HUSBAND!” or “I don’t appreciate all the sexual comments, I’m happily married, thanks”. Surely if they put risque photos of themselves lying on a bed in a bikini and bra or bending over to show the camera an eagle eye view of their breasts etc, surely they should expect those sort of comments, should they be publishing pictures like that if they really value their marriage?
it seems that they would invite comment but only the comments they would like.
It always amazes me why sad old gits would want to see them and even comment on these losers but I guess thats why they are sad old gits.

Are England too generous to their opponents?
In the build up to the 2009 Ashes in England, Australian fast bowler Stuart Clark has joined Kent on a six week deal, in a bid to prove his fitness and regain some form ahead of the tour.

Are England too accommodating to rival nations? Would Australia allow English players to play in the Sheffield Shileld, or Grade cricket, ahead of an important series?
Is it right that opposition players should use English domestic competitions in such a manner?
I doubt the Australians would do it for England even if others would (I only say that because the countries are rivals before anyone gives a thumbs down). So why do we do it for them?
Its the same for tourist matches. We ask for a pointless, non competitive, 14-a-side match, often against a local scratch side, in preparation for a test series and then wonder why we have such a bad record in the first test of a series!
Yet when teams come over here they get at least 2 or 3 proper first class games against our first class counties and often in conditions that favour the tourists and help them bat and bowl themselves into form. Could you imagine the Aussies helping us bat our way into form. They would give us some tricky conditions, in the hope we collapse and lose confidence.
