What is the best running/fitness shoe available for women?
Honestly, it depends what fits your foot and you need. No one here can really answer for you.
I personally like Nike because they typically have a larger toe box, breathe better, and offer a good range of options (width, correction, padding). The biggest problem I have with Nike is that they discontinue shoes frequently.
But, my husband can’t stand Nike. They don’t fit his foot, they don’t support him in the right places, and they just aren’t comfortable for him.
Mizuno also makes some very nice shoes. If I don’t have a Nike show at the time, I have a Mizuno shoe.
If you are a serious runner, then your best bet is to go to a store where the staff is very well trained and specializes in running shoes. These aren’t usually Foot Locker, Copeland’s, or other large chain store, but are typically smaller privately owned stores. They know the shoes that they carry like the back of their hand and actually care about if you get what you need.
Good luck to you. : )

What are some resources for obtaining a male model / fitness model type physique?
I am in good shape and actually am considering becoming a personal trainer myself, however I still have trouble obtaining what I would call the “ideal” body, either lifting weights too often and having some muscles become too big in proportion to my body or not lifting enough and feeling a lack of muscle, I am hoping that people on here can point me to some resources to obtain a male model / fitness model type physique.. everything seems to be geared towards bodybuilding which I have no interest in as I don’t want to put on weight and become “huge”.
What you want to do as far as lifting weights is “toning” - lifting a set amount of weight for a certain amount of “reps”; then resting; then repeating the same amount of “reps”; resting again; then repeating the “reps” and then moving on to another body part.
(I am not endorsing any of the products in the link below; this is just to give you an idea on what type of exercises to do and what they should accomplish for you.)
Nutrition is also a good “tool” to use to help the exercises acheive the ultimate results.
I ride my bike for transportation, fitness, fun and to save money on gas. I ride to work 10 miles each way. There are a few hills, but for the most part it’s pretty flat. It’s all on road or sidewalk with minimal cracks or potholes. I also like to strap on “The Pod Racer” (our kid trailer) and take my kids for rides. Usually just for a few miles.
I currently ride a 21 speed Schwinn Mountain Bike that I bought at Wal-Mart for about $125. It’s served its purpose for about 2 years, but I’m thinking of getting something new. It’s heavy and cumbersome. I only ever use maybe 1/3 of the gears (the faster/harder 1/3).
I don’t want/need anything fancy or expensive. I don’t care what brand it is. I don’t particularly care if it has shocks or not. I just want something that will be durable, efficient and fun to ride.
Why do some women wear clothing so tight you can see everything underneath?
Especially, some who’d probably benefit from a good fitness or fashion consultant.
Several possible reasons:
They want you to see everything.
They do not look in the mirror.
They are a size 18 but buy size 8 to make them feel better.
They think they are being sexy.
They have no self confidence of who they really are.
Their moms dressed that way and that is how they were taught to dress.

Hi, recently i’ve been trying to get into shape. Ive been trying different exercise routines, and didnt like any of them, until i decided to give a shot at a women’s aerobics video. I really enjoyed the workout and felt energized and have been doing a lot of it, high impact women’s aerobics. The only thing is im now interested in buying the right clothing. I dont really care for mens sports apparel, and i also want to feel like im wearing the clothes that fit into the workout im doing (it is women’s aerobics after all). I like the look of the clothes too. Are there any women out there who could point me in the right direction as to wear to buy these clothes. What are some of my options? what fabrics are good? what about shoes? what brands are best and what style of clothes are best. also would there be negative impacts of me wearing these clothes (yes i do live alone so no one would see me.) thanks for your help
Hi, Mike! Just go to your local sports type store (like Academy Sports) and browse the women’s department until you find what you’re looking for. Eyeball it, though — don’t hold it up against you unless you’re prepared to get some ‘looks’! Best wishes on the exercise program!
