Quick question about Home Depot associate benefits?
I was wondering what discounts Home Depot associates get towards cell phones and fitness centers and such. I know for cell phones they get 20% off or whatever and 12% off for Dell computers. Was wondering what fitness center they give a discount to and how much it is.
Thanks!

If you know that we get 20% and 12% then what exactly is your question?
Home Depot doesn’t “give” a discount to any fitness center. They don’t even give their own associates a discount!

What are the typical markups for fitness equipment?
I am looking to sell yoga and pilates fitness equipment and would like to know if anyone knows the markup on these items (mats, stability balls, soft weights, pilates rings etc) and also where a good distributor is for these products?
Mark up for most retail items at this price level is about 40-50%. For a distributor, try …
My Girlfriend would like to Join the Police as an officer. How does she go about this?
What would she need to do to apply?
Would she need existing qualifications?
Are there any fitness test requirements? (She is fit by the way if you know what I mean)
Would she need to buy her own equipment? Or is this issued?
She’ll need to apply to each department she is interested in.
Qualifications greatly vary from department to department, but most larger departments want at least one of the following:
1) 2yrs Active Duty military experience
2) 60hrs of college credits (area of study is not important)
3) 5yrs full-time work experience from minimal employers w/ a favorable work history (no quitting or being fired under non-favorable conditions)
After she applies, if the department deems her a qualified candidate, she’ll likely be given a test date for a Civil Service Exam (it’s general knowledge, not hard). Usually on the same day, you’ll take a PAT (Physical Agility Test). PATs greatly vary as well, but usually involve a good amount of running, and scaling a 5ft wall.
If she is selected after her test and PAT, she’ll go through an interview, and background check.
If she passes both, she’ll be given a conditional offer of employment, in which she will be sent to the a police academy.
She’ll be issued everything they want her to have, and most likely have an annual uniform and equipment allowance which she can use to maintain, repair, and replace her issued items.
It’s a long process, so tell her to hang in there!
