There are hundreds of infomercials for various fitness products being shown on TV. The fact is every 6 months or so the developers of these products unveil a new and improved machine which they claim is better than the previous model. Do you think these products advertise false claims?
Ex: Ab Shaper, Ab Swing, Ab Lounge,
Any of those ab things *might* strengthen your abs, but they don’t work on your lower back, which is what you also need, and they don’t burn fat, which is what you want if you are trying to flatten your stomach.
I live in DC and I am planning our 2007 Family Reunion in Charlotte, NC for July 12th - 15th. Doing this long distance is a chore. I am looking for accomodations that have suites - meaning separate living area from the bedroom and full kitchen. If the hotel/suite offered 2 bedroom suites that would be perfect for families of 4.
The hotel/suite must have an event room for a 50 pp dinner or a hospitality room that we can use as a meeting place during our stay. I would like to have catering service for the dinner buffet provided by the hotel ( a breakfast buffet or continental breakfast we be ideal!)
Ususal amenites such as free parking, indoor or outdoor swimming pool, fitness room, free highspeed internet goes without saying.
Charlotte, NC is a wonderful place. Planned activities include Parmount Carowinds and Discovery Place. If you have any more sugguestions of places to see, let me know. Charlottians, I’m counting on you for your help! Please don’ t let me down!
Hey There. Just off the top of my head there are a few places that might meet your needs. The DoubleTree Guest Suites SouthPark is an all suite hotel that has meeting space as well as a full service restaurant. It is also located adjacent to SouthPark Mall. The Embassy Suites Woodlawn Places you about halfway between Center City and Carowinds, and is an all suite hotel with meeting space and a full service restaurant as well.
Your best bet though, would be to contact Visit Charlotte, the convention and vistors bureau. They have a special division that works with family reunions, and they will help you find accomodations, plan activities, and just about anything else you need help with. (and as far as I know its a free service!) You can reach them at VisitCharlotte.com or even better, call them at 1.800.722.1994 and talk to one of their event planners.
Here are just a few other things you might want to visit while you’re here:
Levine Museum of The New South
Mint Museum of Craft + Design
Carolina Raptor Center
Afro-American Cultural Center
Charlotte Museum of History
Lowe’s Motor Speedway
Carolinas Avation Museum
Catch a performance at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center or the Award winning Childrens Theatre of Charlotte.
Just to name a few…
Whatever you end up doing, best of Luck planning your visit and hope you have a great time in Charlotte!
Most basketball fitness workshops cater to children instead of adults, why is that? I live in the Atlanta area and I would like to know where I can find a basketball camp exclusively for adults?

First Firing of the steroid scandle: Mike “Simon Dean” Bucci?
For those who don’t remember Bucci, he wrestled as the fitness guru that sponsored RAW. About a year ago, he stopped wrestling to focus on his management position. He was one of the lead managers of the WWE’s Developmental Territories. It seems like the WWE used him as a “sacrificial lamb” in order to show that they care about the issue. Looks like he just got unlucky. If he were one of the WWE’s top superstars, he wouldn’t of been fired. You can read more about it here: http://www.legendschampionshipwrestling.com/
What are your opinions about this? Also, sorry for any grammatical or spelling errors that I missed. Normally, I don’t make them, but I live in Southern California (Oceanside a.k.a The better part of San Diego County) and it’s been a long hot day. Also, has anyone noticed that everyone is getting Top Contributor status? When I started at Yahoo Answers, it seemed like something to shoot for. Now that a lot of people have that status, it just seems pointless to get it.
Yeah, Super Nova. I agree with the reason why he was let go — he was expendable, and the WWE let him go to “make an example out of him”. It’s like some mother punishing her least favorite child and some teacher feeling satisfied in a weird way. I wonder if he’ll do a shoot on the WWE.
I haven’t got Top Contributor status, and probably won’t. That’s not why I’m here, you know.

A good fitness journal or magazine that is hiring a writer?
I’m thinking about becoming a freelance writer. I know a lot about fitness and I was wondering if there was some online journal or magazine that would hire a freelance writer after some sample essays?
The mantra to succeed in the freelance world is marketing your skills.
1. First, create a portfolio of articles in your areas of expertise and interest.
2. Use Google and other search engines to find e-mail IDs of online magazines and the online versions of print journals.
3. Next, go to your local library and get the e-mail IDs of local journals and newspapers.
4. Send e-mail to the editors of newspapers / magazines, expressing interest that you want to contribute articles to their publications. Attach to the e-mail one or more of your best writing samples. If the editors like your writing, they would contact you.

Has anyone seen TV commercial on fitness program for 12$ with no contract?
It is supposed to be a program with classes, somewhere in the U.S. I can never catch the phone number they are giving, and I did not see their web site either. It looks something like this: 1-800-USA- Lucillia. Can anyone help me find that program, please? I will appreciate it! Thank you in advance.
Its a Lucille Roberts workout program thing, and their number is 1-800-USA-Lucille.
