Children’s gym?
What would you think about sending your kid to a gym spacificlly for children?
I’ve been thinking a lot about how I see children who are over weight and unhappy. There should be more gyms for children with fun activities for them to do, video games like Dance Dance Revolution, fitness classes just for kids like hula hooping. What do you think?
I think that is a great idea as long as you weren’t picturing them running on atreadmill and lifting weights, LOL!

If kids physical fitness is such a big deal than why take P.E. out of there schools?
People are always saying the kids in society today are becoming more obese and have more medical problems than ever before. I don’t see the point in taking away their only way to get out and play and run. P.E. is what gives the kids of today a look at how they can stay fit and not only that but healthy. It helps kids make smarter chices of what they do during the day, wether it be play video games and play in a pick-up basketball game. It also allows the kids to know what food is healthy and helps them make smarter dietary choices during the day.
Woah! They are taking PE out of school that is crazy. I don’t remember anything about PE fondly or that I ever enjoyed it but I’m pretty sure it helped somehow. I think we should just give children an extra hour of freetime to run around and do whatever, not assigned tasks.

Tom I have to teach the year 4 children that do not go swimming.?
I have been told that the lesson should be about health and fitness but as a student teacher I am not allowed to do any physical activity with them so an alternative PE lesson is out of the question. Does anybody have any ideas?
The children are aged 8 and 9.
You could talk to them about healthy eating - eating the right foods, making sure they drink enough water throughout the day, the importance of breakfast etc.
You could also ask them to draw a health and safety poster for the PE lesson e.g. the right clothing, make sure they warm up/cool down correctly, no jewelry etc.

Is this a good Diet/Fitness plan for overweight kids…like me…?
Breakfast: 2 apples and water
Lunch: 2 Apples, 3 strawberries, water
Dinner: 2 apples, 5 strawberries, 1 small tangerine, and water.
*Snack:* An apple and water lol.
For fitness, 2 or more hours of Wii Sports/Wii Fit everyday for seven days a week.
How much weight would I lose in 3 months if I strictly follow this? Any Adjustments would help. And If u don’t help, or be mean, I will report you got it? Thanks…I need help…

for ur diet plan, u would need extend your food groups.
your goal is basically to take in fruits which is a good start but ull also need ur protein which is in meat and grain (bread,cereal,etc).
also vegetables and personally i hate most vegetables >.< , so find some other ones that u like the most. try ou different kinds and eventually ull find one that u like and that will be healthy for you. i found steamed choped carrots very delicious and mayb u should try em.
for ur fitness plan its personally fine, but i cant be exact becuz i dont kno ur age, height, etc. as long as ur having fine working out, gettin up and being active theres no complants.
