How to cancel LA Fitness membership in a legal letter???
I bought a Pro Results personal training contract at LA Fitness. They Gave me a 5 day guarantee that i could cancel it in. The catch is that the contract says i have to mail a letter to the Home Base of La fitness in Irvine, CA.
As long as the letter is post marked before midnight of of the 5th day, is it still legally inside the 5 guarantee???
Also, I read online that La fitness often claims to never receive these letters form members and ignores them. What can I do to ensure they don’t try to pull this on me?
And lastly, exactly what do i have to write in the letter in terms of information. And should I threaten to get my lawyer involved etc to get them the cancel it on time??
since they are asking letters from members you do not have to write a letter as if you were an attorney. just state, name, address, club location (city and address), membership number, date you signed, and that you want to cancel. date the letter, heck you can even get a member to witness you siging the letter and placing in evelope and closing. just get their name and add to letter, not required. have the letter stamped at post office and keep calling them daily.

Which gym is better in the Los Feliz area - 24hr fitness or LA fitness?
I’m looking for a gym near Los Feliz with very good fitness classes and reasonable prices. Out of 24 hr fitness in hollywood and la fitness in hollywood, which would you guys recommend? Thank you!
LA Fitness tends to be very busy at the worst times, plus they have specific open times, and you sometimes have to wait a while for the machine you want.
24 Hr Fitness has their busy times, but they are open ALL day, so you can go whenever you feel like it, even if it’s 2am. They also tend to not be as packed as LA Fitness, but they aren’t as high tech as LA Fitness.
I would choose 24 Fitness in my opinion. It comes down to what’s more convenient (distance from where you live, and times they are open), and what’s more in your price range.
Before you officially join, get a free pass to both, and see which one you like better. Nearly all gyms will let you have a free trial.

What does everyone think about that shooting at the LA Fitness center?
I live in Pittsburgh and I am like 20 minutes from Bridgeville and it is very scary to hear about that guy going to the gym and shooting women at the LA Fitness Center located in Bridgeville. Did anyone hear about that? For people who don’t live in Pittsburgh, I am sure it made national news. Any comments? Why did that guy do that? I hear he was desperate? That’s pretty scary, don’t you think?!! There were no guys he shot, just women because he couldn’t get himself a girlfriend and was desperate?
the guy was mad because he hadnt had sex in like 19 years and he always got turned down so he shot 15 women.
obviously the dude had major problems and women had been able to sense it and avoid him until he just flaked out.
some people are just nuts
