How long does it take for the body to start losing fitness shape?

I recently hyperextended my knee while playing soccer, and I just wanted to know how many days I can take off, to let my knee heal a little, without losing my shape. I have been getting in shape since the first day of my summer vacation, for my senior year in high school soccer. Tryouts are just 7 days away and our first game is just 14 days away. My knee really doesn’t bother me while im playing but when i wake up the next morning it is really sore. I have been constantly using the RICE method and our trainer is out of town, can someone please help thank you.

only three days, but you’ll be fine taking a week or so off before actually noticing a difference on the field.

High School Club Ideas?

Hey, I want to start a club at my high school. It is a really new school (only 3 grades in it so far), and I think it’s a great opportunity to start a club. I also need leadership hours and stuff. So far, we already have most of the major clubs:
- math club.
- music club.
- art club.
- key club (service club).
- fitness club.
- environmental club.
- culture club.
- math club.
- science club.
- GSA.
- TSA.
- many others…

Basically, many good ideas have already been established. I want to start a club that I’m interested in leading. I like service, medical (hospitals), sports, activities.

Any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks in advance. :)

You have the right idea to pick clubs that interest you, since if you’re starting it, why not it be about something you like?

We have an anime club, a French club (I think they sing French karaoke…), an Athletic Council (they promote sports in the school, have sports marathons and events), a multicultural club, a debate club, some religious clubs (like the Breakfast club- you have breakfast and talk about happy stuff I think), volunteer club, peer help club, a cooking club, the yearbook club, the photography club, the interact club (they do school events I think).

I think the clubs that work the best are the ones that have a definite “what it is”. For example, people started a pie club until they realized, what do you do in a pie club? An earth/environment club is more defined- you have events and fundraisers to help raise money for environment programs and raise awareness. Also the club must appeal to enough people to support the club (so maybe the Save the Spiders club wouldn’t do so well).

As for sports, if you can find a teacher supervisor, you should be able to do any sports team you want! And if you have no competitors from other schools, you could make it an after school club to just practice and hang out.

Good job for taking the initiative to do this.
