fitness tests for adults

fitness tests for adults
I don’t think it’s fair…?

In PE (Physical Education) we are graded on how fit we are, and if we’re fit:Good. But if were not:You’ve got a big fat FAIL coming your way.

In high school, students aren’t allowed to graduate if they don’t pass the Fitness Test (I think, I’m not sure if it’s still mandatory.) so even if you have an A in every single class and are taking AP classes and doing everything that you’re supposed to be doing, you STILL can’t graduate???

There are a lot of people that are successful and over weight…and how can we have even more successful people if some of the most intelligent kids, adults now, are not allowed to graduate high school, which means they can’t go to college and they can’t be as successful as they would be if passing the Fitness Test wasn’t mandatory?

I just want to know if people agree with me…
Leo Ling Ping Ding…I am THIRTEEN I cannot get a personal trainer…geesh. Thanks anyway though.

That is completely ridiculous. You should protest against that in some way; speak to your PE teacher about it or calmly refuse to take the test if you feel it is unnecessary. If you don’t want to do that, just go running - a lot.

Do you need liability insurance on fitness DVDs?

I might make a fitness DVD and will use a disclaimer. Does my limited liability company still need to carry liability insurance in case someone sues?

Only if you get sued.

Of course, by then it’s too late to buy it.

They will always have the potential to be. Men have 10x the amount of testosterone as women, which increases fatty acid oxidation and the potential for muscle mass. Research the comparison the difference in test production between men and women and what testosterone does, then you can prove the point.

best fitness videos for women
Are there any good fitness videos that…?

I’ve seen a lot of videos out there in the stores that focus on one area of the body, but are there any inexpensive (less than $20) videos out there. I’m looking for a video that gives an all-around workout for 15-30 minutes using all of the major muscle groups, is low impact, and doesn’t require any special equipment such as a ball, or weights? And does it have more than one workout on it so you can alternate workouts?

If you have used it how did you like it?

(Ideally one that can be used by a middle-aged woman).
To the person who suggested I get myself to a gym, it’s a pretty expensive activity and not always open when I can exercise.

I really enjoyed jane fonda’s low-impact workout. It’s a little dated so it’ll be cheaper, and it’s a blast. She really gets everywhere and you don’t need anything.

Does Lifetime Fitness Conduct Drug Test On New Employees?

I’m about to graduate and am thinking of applying at this new gym accross town called Lifetime Fitness, but being a senior \ a lot of pot gets smoked by me and my friends for fun and I want to know before I waste my time if these people violate my constitutional right to privacy and conduct pre employement drug tests? If they do it’s no big deal I just won’t apply but if they don’t I will apply and they’ll get a good employee.

Most Lifetime Fitness centers (maybe all of them) include child care facilities. And these days, anyone who is hired to work near or around children is likely to have to pass both a drug test and a criminal background check. The insurance companies pretty much insist on it.

Based on that, it’s almost certain that they would want to test you. Sorry. I agree that what people do in their own homes ought to be no one else’s concern. But I also know that whenever anyone gets hurt these days, people sue everyone and his uncle. So I understand how a business can feel that it has to protect itself.

Keep in mind that cannabis residue usually only stays in your urine for a few days to about a week. If you clean up your act, you will test negative. It is not like you will be positive for the rest of your life.

I wish you well.

physical fitness tests for children
Feet per second question?

Hello folks. Please don’t judge or make fun of me for asking for help with this question. I have been out of school for several years. I am a single father (widowed) raising 2 children age 2 &11 and don’t get nearly the amount of sleep I need and that does not help me trying to figure this out.

In 2 weeks I have to take a physical fitness test for a job. One of the tests require that I sprint 300 meters in 77 seconds. Now 300 meters amounts to 984 feet. Can someone please figure out a pace I need to keep, how many feet per second I need to sprint to pass? Even a close guess would be very helpful.

Thank you in advance if you are able to help!

Mike

around 12.8 feet/second should do it.

Fair and just rules and discipline….

health and fitness questions and answers

Stationary bike, and health/fitness questions. help please?

I just recently won a bike off of ebay and its a nice bike. I was wondering about how it would effect my love handles and my stomach fat area. Will it help? will it help to stand up and ride bike, not sit and ride it? Will the overall exercise help a forming double chin go away? With good exercise on it everyday (maybe 3 miles a day), and good healthy eating help me achieve the body i want? I am not over weight at all, i just would like to take some of the fat of my stomach and under my chin, so please no rude comments. Will what i just explained help me, do you have any recommendations with the bike and eating? please let me know. I am really not interested in taking pills like the acia berry. Also im starting winter track which wil help also? Does running help lose fat on stomach? will it help with my love handles at all? we will be running everyday for an hour and a half. Please no mean comments, just answer my questions if you can.
Thanks so much.

Yes if you bike 3 miles every day you will lose some weight (as long as you don’t increase your caloric intake/how much you eat).

It’s just basic math. If you eat the same amount but increase your calories burned, of course you will lose weight.

I would just advise you to watch out because when people start new exercise routines– they often subconsciously eat more because their bodies want to compensate for the increased calorie burned.
