Children’s gym?

What would you think about sending your kid to a gym spacificlly for children?
I’ve been thinking a lot about how I see children who are over weight and unhappy. There should be more gyms for children with fun activities for them to do, video games like Dance Dance Revolution, fitness classes just for kids like hula hooping. What do you think?

I think that is a great idea as long as you weren’t picturing them running on atreadmill and lifting weights, LOL!

I need a health & fitness curriculum for an adult small group I want to start at my church.?

I want to start a health accountability small group and i need a good curriculum. I would like the group to focus on taking control of eating, weight issues and insecurities by allowing God to work through those areas. I want to incorporate some kind of activity before or after a teaching time, and allow the members to share as well.

what’s your question?

What are etiquette and principles of fitness swimming? WSI Training?

and “Training techniques set—over distance”, I’m taking WSI training and i have to make a lesson plan and i have noo idea what they are?? Lvl 6 day1??

If there are 2 people swimming in a lane they can swim sides, divide the lane in half and each take a side.
If more than 2 people they swim circles down on the right back on the left.
To pass someone when circle swimming touch their feet to let them know you’re there, and swim around them.
Leave 5-10 seconds after the person in front of you.
Allow faster swimmers to pass.

Ideas for a teen health club at a public high school?

I am a highschool student bouncing around ideas for a new health club at school. I plan on having monthly hands-on, active volunteer projects (think gardening), and serving healthy foods at club meetings, which will take place weekly.

I’m short on ideas on how to conduct the meetings though. I’ve thought of comparing nutrient and calorie density of healthy foods VS junk food. I will also share other interesting tidbits of nutrition info that I find in health magazines. What other activities might keep the things alive? If anyone has ideas for any fun games (or more general ideas for club meetings) that will motivate teens to eat well, I’d be thrilled to look into them.

Though I might put this in Diet and Fitness or Vegetarian and Vegan, the club’s objective will not be to encourage students to lose weight or go vegetarian.

I think finding foods to replace junk food but that are still tasty would be an interesting activity
